5 Best Coffee Shops in Raleigh to Try This Fall

For the coffee lovers in Raleigh…

Raleigh has really stepped up its coffee game over the last few years and honestly, we are here for it. The coffee in the area is amazing and the vibes in the coffee shops here are dreamy.

We’ve detailed out our favorite coffee shops, along with a description of the ‘coffee vibe’ in each one.

The Optimist

For our plant lovers and those of you who love sarcasm, The Optimist is absolutely for you. They have fun, festive drinks and do the occasional ‘plant swap’ where everyone can bring their plant babies to exchange with other locals!

Grab your work (or just a good book) and head over to the Optimist!

LOCATED: East Mordecai Neighborhood

Sir Walter Coffee + Cocktail

We absolutely love the moody vibe at Sir Walter both during the day for coffee or at night for a cocktail. There’s plenty of space to bring your laptop and work for the day, step outside and you’re right in downtown Raleigh. The baristas are always super friendly and helpful.

Especially in the fall and winter, head to Sir Walter and curl up in a cozy booth with a warm latter (or a boozy latte, no judgement) and enjoy!

Located: Downtown Raleigh, East Davie Street

Sola Coffee Raleigh

Honestly, Sola is so much more than just a coffee shop but we had to add it to the list. Sola has amazing coffee, sweet tea, sandwiches, salads, smoothies, and is absolutely perfect for a lunch or work date.

For our dog lovers out there, head to Sola and see if you can spot Buddy, the Golden Retriever who hangs out with customers in the back!

Located: North Raleigh

Brew Coffee Bar

Perfect for a first date in Raleigh! Brew has a very minimalist vibe so whether you’re looking to crank out some work for the day or meet a Bumble date for coffee, head over to North Raleigh for a latte or cappucino.

Located: North Raleigh

Iris Coffee Lab

Perfect place to bring your ‘don’t really love coffee’ friends (do those exist?!) because the non-coffee options are through the roof!

Immaculate vibes, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches. Local artwork on the walls and an exceptionally kind staff. A short walk from the bumpin’ Glenwood Avenue, Iris Coffee Lab is the cutest, most lovely little spot to grab an ice coffee or blue matcha latte.

And it’s dog friendly!

Located: Near Glenwood Avenue, Downtown Raleigh
